"I feel privileged to support individuals toward a better life experience."
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP-BC
I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner that specializes in working with adults suffering from depression, anxiety, and attention disorders. I tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual's particular needs and goals. Psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness-based approaches are all used, along with medications.
I believe in the power of non-judgmental listening, partnership, and collaboration in treatment planning.
I aim to empower my patients to openly discuss their concerns with me. My patients find me down to earth and easy to talk to.
I strongly support patients utilizing non-medication approaches (therapy, meditation, exercise, etc.) to manage symptoms, and do not push medications on those who prefer to avoid them. In my view, medication is a tool that allows you to space from what you are experiencing and support you to make the necessary steps for recovery.
"Jamie was warm and down to earth. She was easy to speak with and knowledgeable about potential methods for addressing my concerns. Open, not trying to push her own agenda, but thoughtfully discussing options that fit into my life."
"She was compassionate, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. My first experience with a psychiatrist and it was a very good one."
"Amazingly easy to talk to. I love the atmosphere in her office. Very honest and clear in her explanations and medical opinion. She wants YOU to feel YOUR best."
I have an undergraduate degree in nursing from University of Haifa, Israel. I completed my masters in nursing at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
