Women’s Mental Health

Have you felt less like yourself through a major life change? Mood, anxiety, sleep, and focus can shift during the postpartum period, perimenopause, and menopause, sometimes in ways that feel sudden or hard to explain. These changes are common, real, and treatable.

How It Can Show Up

Intrusive worries after having a baby

Anxiety, irritability or low mood that feels new or out of proportion

Poor sleep that leaves everything harder to manage

Brain fog, forgetfulness or trouble concentrating in midlife

These symptoms often overlap with ADHD, burnout, and the demands of caring for others, and sorting out what’s driving them is part of the evaluation.

Evaluation and Treatment

Evaluation begins with a full-hour appointment covering your history, how symptoms have changed with each life stage, and how sleep, stress, physical health and family responsibilities affect your well-being.

Treatment focuses on the depression, anxiety and focus changes themselves. Medication is chosen carefully, started low and adjusted collaboratively, with special attention to pregnancy, breastfeeding and other medications you take.

Hormonal treatment is managed by your OB-GYN or primary care provider, and Viewpoint coordinates with them so your care stays connected.
